Industrial services specialist, AIS Vanguard, has played such a central role in helping operators across a wide array of sectors to adapt to challenging conditions over the past two years that the company is now recruiting to feed expansion across the UK.
Providing a complete range of lifting and moving services, from the most complex and technical heavy lifting requirements, through to small lift and shift projects, AIS Vanguard helps industrial operators to reconfigure, scale up, install new equipment, and decommission redundant assets. During the pandemic, demand for the company’s services has been higher than ever, as operators have responded to new challenges. AIS Vanguard has been there to help with everything from factory relocations through to lifting a single machine into position.
With all seven of the company’s UK branches experiencing high demand for AIS Vanguard’s expert services, the business is now recruiting for both foreman rigger fitter and rigger fitter roles.
All positions will involve working with AIS Vanguard’s existing skilled and experienced team to deliver projects throughout the UK and across Europe, including machinery installations and removals, factory moves and heavy or technical lifting projects. The new recruits to foreman positions will supervise projects working to pre-prepared RAMS and will be required to provide health & safety site leadership. Their role will also involve correct use of tools & lifting/handling equipment, assembly and disassembly of machinery, plant and equipment, jacking, skating, hoisting and skidding of various loads and completing relevant company paperwork relating to safety and assets.
Applicants for the rigger/fitter posts can expect varied duties including machinery installations and removals, factory moves and heavy and technical lifting projects. They will need to have experience of heavy lifting, mechanical assembly and disassembly, electrical works, industrial pipework, shipping, packing and demolition.
Candidates for the varied roles will need to have proven experience in similar roles and all relevant licenses and certification. They will also need a can-do attitude, a safety-first approach and an ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
