A customer with an existing production and fulfilment facility in Warrington enlisted the support of AIS Vanguard to assist with a new extension, which included fully automated production and packaging lines for a range of beauty, skincare and fragrance products.

AIS Vanguard’s role was to provide offloading, lifting and installation of production machinery, automated packing lines, warehouse racking and robotic systems for the new facility. The project involved a detailed method statement and time-critical programme, aligned to delivery schedules for the new equipment. It also required close collaboration with the client to ensure that the existing facility could continue to operate on a business-as-usual basis while installation of the machinery for the new extension was carried out.

The AIS Vanguard team was responsible for preparation of foundations and footings for the new equipment, including positioning checks, drilling and floor preparation. The project also included lifting each piece of machinery into position, using a variety of lifting equipment from the AIS Vanguard fleet, along with alignment and levelling, mechanical and electrical engineering, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning. Handover included a full suite of documentation to complete the installation process.

A dedicated AIS Vanguard project manager was responsible for the project from initial site survey through to handover, deploying a team of skilled and certified professionals for each element of the programme as required.
